Volunteer today for racing charities!


Charities working across the sport are frequently in need of valuable support from volunteers – on an ongoing basis or just to support a particular event.

Volunteering is a great way to help the causes you support, and can even boost your CV and help you make new friendships.

Opportunities to volunteer with racing industry charities will be found through Careers in Racing and the Sport and Recreation Alliance.

A selection of charities that rely on volunteers:

Warwick Half Marathon

The Wigley Group Half Marathon will take place from Warwick Racecourse on Sunday 1 March, 2020.

In aid of The Barrie Wells Trust’s ‘Box4Kids’.

It will follow its traditional route through the lovely Warwickshire countryside providing athletes with an excellent opportunity to compete in a slightly undulating, traffic free road race.

This run is suitable for runners of all abilities and wheelchair users. Medals are awarded for all participants.

This event is UKA affiliated, so you can count it towards your official times this running season. Registration Fee: £30 + fee

This Includes:

  • Race entry
  • Pre-race starter pack (to include official number bib and timing chip)
  • High-quality medal for all competitors to commemorate your achievement
  • Discount on official race t-shirt: £10 in advance (£15 on the day)
  • Free Parking at Warwick Racecourse.
