Volunteer today for racing charities!

Charities working across the sport are frequently in need of valuable support from volunteers – on an ongoing basis or just to support a particular event.

Volunteering is a great way to help the causes you support, and can even boost your CV and help you make new friendships.

Diversity in Racing Group seeks new members

An open application process has begun to find three new members to join the Diversity in Racing Steering Group. The group was formed in July 2017 to work collaboratively to champion diversity and inclusion in British racing and to support the industry in its efforts.

For at least one of the positions, the group is specifically seeking candidates with experience, or an understanding of racing ownership, training, stud or yard environment, with knowledge of the current challenges for these groups (the applicant does not have to have held these positions themselves).

Applications close on 22nd October, the full job description can be found here:

Rose Grissell, Head of Diversity and Inclusion for the BHA said:

“The Diversity in Racing Steering Group plays such an important role in advocating for change and championing best practice across the industry. It is an inclusive forum that celebrates diversity of thought, providing strategic direction, advice and support to the BHA and other industry stakeholders. With funding now secured and a plan in place, it is an incredibly exciting time to be part of this positive movement across the sport.”
