Volunteer today for racing charities!


Charities working across the sport are frequently in need of valuable support from volunteers – on an ongoing basis or just to support a particular event.

Volunteering is a great way to help the causes you support, and can even boost your CV and help you make new friendships.

Opportunities to volunteer with racing industry charities will be found through Careers in Racing and the Sport and Recreation Alliance.

Example roles include administrative or specialist business support, fundraising-specific tasks, or hands-on with horses.

Virtual Yorkshire Open Day

Racing Welfare is delighted to announce that they are holding a Virtual Yorkshire Open Day on Sunday 13th September. The showcase of racing in Yorkshire is being held in place of Middleham and Malton Open Days which were sadly cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They would like to thank Arena Racing Company (ARC) for their continued support which will enable them to make this year’s event one to remember.

What can you expect..?

  • Watch video tours and get other behind-the-scenes insights from racehorse trainers from across the county
  • Meet a section of Yorkshire’s equine superstars
  • Look ahead to horses to follow for the Doncaster St Leger Festival and the Ayr Gold Cup Festival.
  • Hear from stellar racing personalities with some special interviews on what makes racing in Yorkshire so special
