Louise Squires has launched a Crowdfunding page in the hope of flying her beloved ex-racehorse, Mango, to join her in Singapore
It’s been a rollercoaster ride for Louise and Mango over the last couple of years. After losing her beloved horse Whispa in a freak accident, Louise found comfort when she rescued retired racehorse Mango.
Mango was taken in by The Racehorse Sanctuary as a 3-year-old, after a fall whilst training which resulted in injury. Although Mango has a kind nature, he is a handful and had been with two owners previously. In Louise’s patient care Mango came on in leaps and bounds and they forged a strong, loving bond.
However, out of the blue Louise was posted to a role in Singapore last summer and she knew Mango had to come with her. The committee of The Racehorse Sanctuary approved Mango’s move to Singapore and all was looking positive.
At the beginning of February Mango went lame, some difficult decisions faced Louise and the vets and together they decided to operate. Mango is now well on the road to recovery and so Louise plans to fly him to join her in Singapore in May this year.
The Racehorse Sanctuary and Louise are raising funds so Mango can join Louise in Singapore. To read Louise and Mangos full story or to donate view their page here.
