Agenda announced for Racing Together Industry Day

Racing Together is pleased to share the agenda for Racing Together Industry Day, and to confirm that the early-bird discount runs until this Friday, 16th January.

Key Information:

  • Wednesday 4th February
  • Lingfield Park Racecourse
  • 9.15am-3.30pm

An extended early-bird rate of £75 is available until 16th January and a subsidised under-25 ticket is offered to encourage young people to experience this popular cross-industry event.

This will be the fourth Racing Together Industry Day focussed on bringing insights and challenge to the sport’s community engagement and social impact work. It is kindly sponsored by Gallagher, and supported by the Horseracing Betting Levy Board, the Racing Foundation and the Racecourse Association.

This key industry event brings together a range of leaders and active practitioners working across community engagement, in racing and other sports and sectors. Keynote speaker Lisa Wainwright MBE, CEO of the Sport and Recreation Alliance will be joined by former Red Roses rugby player Vickii Cornborough. A focus on impact measurement will be presented by Preeti Shetty of Upshot.

This year’s event embraces the extraordinary contribution made by the people at the heart of the sport’s community engagement and social impact. The importance that winning hearts and inspiring minds plays across racing’s irreplaceable volunteer network will be recognised as the sport’s superpower, evidenced by the growth of Community Week.

Central to the day will be discussions on why EDI matters more than ever despite a climate of political backlash and corporate rollback, and Rose Grissell from the BHA will share the launch of the industry’s updated EDI strategy.
