Cheltenham lunch supports IJF beneficiaries
Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF) Oaksey House welcomed 40 local beneficiaries for a chicken lunch and to watch the racing on the Thursday of Cheltenham Festival.
This initiative supported older charity beneficiaries in particular, who benefitted from a large screen, sound system and good company to watch the racing unfold in the comfort of Oaksey House, the IJF’s state of the art rehabilitation centre and gym in the heart of Lambourn.
The team held a tipping competition which was £1 a go with the joint winners taking home £20 each. The event was arranged by Oaksey House Liaison Officer, Kerry Cox, who said: “It was a great atmosphere with everyone had a great time enjoying the competitive racing as a group.”
