Cheltenham Preview Evenings support charities nationwide in the lead up to The Festival
No other racing event and few in other sports can match the excitement of the Cheltenham Festival. Up and down the country people are tuning in to the experts’ thoughts and opinions, and plenty of hunches about which horses are going to be make the winner’s enclosure in the 28 races.
The Festival preview evenings are always good fun and are a great way to support charities. No less than 35 evenings, seven in support of the Injured Jockeys Fund and many supporting Racing Welfare are being staged.
Non-racing charities, such as WellChild and Stamp Out Suicide are also getting some recognition and much-needed funds from these lively events that are hosted from Taunton to Darlington, and stretching over to Northern Ireland, not forgetting the heartland of the Cotswolds.
You can find out about just some of these events via the ROA website here.
The Injured Jockeys Fund say that every year they are overwhelmed with the generosity of so many Cheltenham Preview organisers that take it upon themselves to donate the profits of their event to the IJF.
