2025 Racing Foundation Conference Increasing the field: Engaging the next generation and safeguarding the future of British racing

This year’s conference will focus on youth engagement as a vital factor in building a sustainable future for British racing. The day will cover how the industry can better connect with young people to grow its workforce, attract future employers, expand its fanbase, identify emerging talent, and maintain its social licence.

Key Details

Keynote speaker: Stuart Rowson –A leading expert in helping sports and media organisations grow their reach and impact with younger audiences, will deliver a keynote talk revealing his insights on how to resonate with the next generation. Stuart has worked with some of the country’s biggest sporting events and organisations in this capacity, including England Rugby, Chelsea FC, World Sailing, Birmingham 2022, British Cycling, Planet Sport, World Cycling Championships, UK Sport and UEFA, and has more than a decade of experience at the BBC.

The event will also feature:

  • Research examining the drivers and barriers to effective youth engagement
  • The industry’s new social impact strategy
  • Expert insights from beyond the racing world
  • A collaborative workshop, led by Stuart Rowson, to promote ideas and action
  • An industry-wide approach relevant to every sector of the horseracing industry
