HEROS Charity Amateur Riders’ Sweepstake

HEROS Charity, along with Newbury Racecourse and the Amateur Jockeys Association (AJA), is delighted to present the HEROS Charity Amateur Riders’ Sweepstake, taking place at Newbury Racecourse on the evening of Thursday 24 July.

The race provides a unique opportunity for anyone who has ever dreamed of riding in a race at one of Britain’s most prestigious racecourses — all while supporting the vital work of HEROS Charity.

Based near the West Berkshire and South Oxfordshire border, HEROS is British Horse Racing’s Aftercare Lead. Since 2006, the charity has retrained and rehomed hundreds of former racehorses and now also runs education programmes for young people with special educational needs, using former racehorses to inspire and support them.

Funds raised will support HEROS’ mission to secure the futures of both retired racehorses and the young people benefiting from its education programmes.
