Flying Futures raise money for Injured Jockeys Fund

Racing Together partner Flying Futures recently completed the Wolf Run in Leicestershire to raise funds for the Injured Jockeys Fund.

The youth charity were aiming to raise £500 and had a total of 14 participants ranging from young people who attend Flying Futures programmes and staff.

The obstacle course was completed in challenging conditions with project coordinator James Lodge commenting; “it was a real shock to the system, I didn’t expect it to be that hard and that cold, I’m really feeling it now but we all got through it as a team and showed great determination for all 14 of us to finish the course. We really appreciate all the amazing work the IJF does for jockeys and this goes some way to supporting them”.
Flying Futures were completing the course as part of the Take The Reins initiative which has been set up between a variety of youth organisations to aid young people in discovering the career opportunities in the equine world.
