IJF Safety Masks raise vital funds for the charity
The Injured Jockeys Fund has raised over £50,000 in much-needed funds since their bespoke cotton reusable face masks went on sale in June at £10 each. The face masks were spotted at Royal Ascot, and were worn by jockey Frankie Dettori and trainer Nicky Henderson, and were soon sold out on the charity’s website.
“We have sold over 5,000 face masks and are both amazed and incredibly grateful for this support,” said IJF Chief Executive, Lisa Hancock.
“This is such a difficult time for everyone, and along with many charities, demand for our services has gone up whereas income has gone down. That people are buying something that makes them feel both comfortable and safe seems wholly appropriate that it supports the Fund at the same time.”
