Jane Hedley, Clerk of the Course at Warwick Racecourse sets out on her 40-mile journey on horseback from Cheltenham Racecourse to Blenheim Palace to raise funds for the RDA
Jane Hedley (pictured centre) is looking to raise £500 for The Abingdon Riding for the Disabled group by riding from Cheltenham Racecourse to Blenheim Palace. Cheltenham Racecourse is home to The Cotswold RDA centre and a supporter of Riding for the Disabled through their ‘Giddy up for Good‘ series. Jane left this morning and hopes to arrive at Blenheim on Thursday 16thSeptember. The aim is to raise awareness and funds for the RDA group. The 40-mile ride will take her through bridleways, byways and minor roads and she is hoping recreational riders will join her along the way.
For the last leg of her journey she will be joined by riders from the Abingdon RDA. Blenheim Palace Horse Trials is organised this year for the first time by The Jockey Club and the official charity partner is The Abingdon RDA. Volunteers at the charity will be present at all four days of Blenheim INT in a fundraising capacity.
Abingdon RDA is run from a purpose-built centre in Oxfordshire, and specialise in providing riding to private individuals, from all ages and a wide spectrum of disabilities.
