Lucy Saunders joins Racing Together as new Community Engagement Manager

A new face joins the Racing to School team this month when Lucy Saunders is passed the baton from outgoing Community Engagement Manager, Adam Harman. Adam leaves the Racing Together partnership in a strong position as he takes up a new role at Careers in Racing.

Lucy comes to Racing Together via Weatherbys, having first set out on her racing career with a marketing position at The Jockey Club Rooms.

“I have seen the recent growth of both Racing Together and Racing to School and am very keen to use my experience and existing relationships across racing to realise our ambitions to connect the sport with more of its communities,” said Lucy.

Lucy has been a fan of racing from an early age, with family members involved in the sport and having ridden as an amateur while at university; she studied business at the Royal Agricultural University and started work at The Jockey Club Rooms following a work placement.

Lucy is eager to meet as many Racing Together partners as possible and will be attending the RCA Showcase & Awards this week up at Aintree, paying particular attention to the increasingly competitive Community & CSR Category.
