Newmarket Racecourse switch sports to raise £1,000 for MS Society
On 21st August, Newmarket Racecourses played a football match against Cheveley Park Stud at Haverhill FC in order to raise money for the MS Society. Unfortunately, a staff member at Newmarket Racecourses was diagnosed with MS in recent months and the game was organised in to raise funds to support the charity.
Cheveley Park were excellent supporters of the game, not only encouraging their staff to play but sending a generous donation and providing a good crowd to cheer on from the sidelines.
The players paid a match fee, which went straight into the charity pot and this, alongside a very well supported raffle with an array of different prizes managed to raise a total of £1,060. A massive thank you to all those involved.
