QIPCO British Champions Series Launches Club 26: A Members Club for 18-26-Year-Olds

QIPCO British Champions Series has launched Club 26, a free to join club for young people between 18-26-years-old, to help encourage younger fans to attend Great Britain’s finest Flat racing this summer.

The initial ticket offers to be announced are £10 general admission tickets for club members to the QIPCO Guineas Festival (Saturday 6th May and/or Sunday 7th May) and QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot in October, which mark the start and the end of this year’s QIPCO British Champions Series.

Further discounted ticket offers will follow throughout the summer at QIPCO British Champions Series racedays exclusively, with high-quality action at 10 of the finest racecourses in the country. There will also be other benefits for club members, such as behind-the-scenes tours and raceday previews.

Club 26 will feature at all 26 QIPCO British Champions Series racedays this year, including at some of Great Britain’s most iconic Flat festivals, such as the Betfred Derby Festival at Epsom Downs and Royal Ascot in June, the Qatar Goodwood Festival at Goodwood and the Skybet Ebor Festival at York in August and the St Leger Festival at Doncaster in September.

HH Sheikh Fahad bin Abdullah Al Thani, Director of QIPCO said: “We are passionate about attracting young people to horseracing as future fans and participants and are very proud to launch Club 26 ahead of the QIPCO Guineas Festival.

“We have lots of exciting plans for the Club and hope it educates and encourages more 18-26 year olds, who are key to the future of this sport, to come racing.”

Rod Street, Chief Executive of QIPCO British Champions Series, said: “‘British Champions Series is delighted to be able to introduce Club 26, for 18-26-year-olds, at our racedays.

“Our objective is to get a younger audience closer to horseracing, by involving them in some of the best Flat racing occasions in the calendar. Horseracing takes a bit of understanding, but by involving people more closely in the racing experience, we know the magic can rub off and create lifetime aficionados.

“We believe the initial offer is fantastic value and there will be more to come as the British Flat racing season goes on.

“I would also like to thank our sponsor QIPCO, who have been such committed partners since British Champions Series began in 2011, for giving their backing to Club 26.”
