Racecourse Media Group announces first charity partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust
Racecourse Media Group has confirmed a new partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust, which will see the charity supported through fundraising and awareness activity across the coming year.
The collaboration will involve staff, partners and customers across the racing media organisation working together to raise funds and highlight the charity’s work supporting young people facing cancer.
Teenage Cancer Trust provides specialist care and support for teenagers and young adults diagnosed with cancer, including dedicated hospital units and expert nursing teams who help patients and their families throughout treatment.
A range of fundraising initiatives are expected to take place, including events designed to engage the wider racing community. Plans also include the staging of a charity raceday, which will help raise both funds and awareness for the charity’s work.
Clive Cottrell, Director of Marketing at RMG, said: “Teenage Cancer Trust does extraordinary work supporting young people and their families during some of the most challenging times they will ever face, and we are incredibly proud to be partnering with them as our first annual charity partner.
This partnership is deeply meaningful to me personally and I have seen first-hand the difference that specialist care, dedicated staff and the right support can make.
As a business, we are committed to using our platform and our collective energy to raise vital funds and awareness over the coming year, and to help make a real and lasting difference.”
Racecourse Media Group manages media and data rights for 36 British racecourses, as well as all 26 Irish racecourses through a partnership with SIS.
The partnership aims to support Teenage Cancer Trust’s ongoing mission to ensure that every young person diagnosed with cancer has access to the specialist care they need.
