Racing Together announces webinar series to engage a range of voices on some themes at the heart of racing’s support of its communities

Racing Together is pleased to launch its first webinar series, designed to start and accelerate conversations on some key community engagement and education topics. The interactive sessions will be led by a host and feature a guest panel from across and outside racing.

In partnership with the sport’s eLearning platform Racing2Learn many of the topics covered can be further explored through their courses, and these webinars are intended to provide racing teams with Continued Professional Development.

Episode 1

The series will comprise six 45-minute webinars, starting on Thursday 4th November at 12.30 with the topic:

During Safer Gambling Week, we ask: can racing’s reliance on betting be part of our conversations with young people?

What to expect

The remaining webinars will run on dates to be announced until January. Anyone with an interest in the sport’s approach to engaging its communities is welcome to attend the zoom events.

John Blake, Chief Executive of Racing Together said: “We are pleased to announce the Racing Together webinar series, which is designed to pose some thought-provoking and relevant questions around community engagement and education.

“We’ve had a generous response from organisations and individuals within and outside racing keen to join the discussion, which we hope is also guided by questions and opinions from viewers tuning in.”

Topics will centre on education; health and wellbeing programmes; volunteering; diversity and inclusion; fundraising and the sport’s wider social responsibility, in line with Racing Together’s mission to support and promote racing as a force for good in society.

Viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions to the hosts and panellists and the webinars are free to attend. For those unable to join the live sessions, recordings will be available on the Racing Together website.

The full Racing Together webinar series schedule will be confirmed in due course.
