Racing Together joins industry charities in marking Trustees’ Week 2025

Trustees’ Week, 3rd – 7th November 2025, recognised the vital role of trustees who volunteer their time, skills and expertise to help charities across the UK deliver meaningful impact. The annual campaign highlights the importance of effective governance and leadership in supporting organisations to achieve their goals.

Across British horseracing and its partner organisations, the week provided an opportunity to acknowledge the people who help shape strategy, uphold values and guide programmes that benefit communities within and beyond the sport.

Racing to School, which leads the Racing Together partnership, shared reflections from its trustees, including a message from Chairman Michael Andrews, emphasising the importance of active, engaged leadership in delivering the charity’s educational mission:

“It is a privilege to work alongside a Board of Trustees at Racing to School who have such passion and enthusiasm for the work of the charity, not just within the guardrails of formal meetings but on the ground supporting the staff team.

There is never a shortage of volunteer hands for additional work across the charity’s functions and subcommittees, and always an uplifting commitment to support the growth and impact of our wide-ranging work.”

Box4Kids, which provides special experiences for children and young people facing serious illness, also thanked its trustees for their continued support. The National Horseracing College and Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) recognised the contribution of their boards, with the RDA sharing a video message honouring the service of its nearly 3,000 trustees.

Racing Together joins these organisations in thanking trustees across the industry for their insight, leadership and commitment, which continue to help racing deliver positive change year-round.
