Racing Together Webinar Series returns this month
The second Webinar Series explores key challenges for the sport’s expanding community activity
On Thursday 17 November the first Racing Together Webinar in the new series provides an opportunity for industry professionals to hear views from community and education programmes beyond racing.
Four 45-minute episodes across the winter months feature hosts and guest panellists from within racing, the charity sector, other sports and beyond. Webinars are free, open to all and are interactive; viewers are encouraged to comment and ask questions using the Zoom chat and Q&A functions.

Panellists for the first episode include:
- Gary Stannett, CEO, Rio Ferdinand Foundation
- Kelly Smith, Head of Impact and Engagement, Sport for Development Coalition
- Ricky Reynolds, Head of Community Development, Marylebone Cricket Club
Future episodes will discuss issues around community, fan and workforce development, as well as diversity and inclusion topics led by a range of insightful panellists.
John Blake, CEO of Racing Together said: “We are delighted to bring back this popular series that got people talking about some important themes and difficult challenges for racing. We have thought carefully about feedback from the previous webinars to shape the new series.
“The Racing Together Industry Day (February 9th) follows events at Aintree and Warwick in 2016 and 2018. In partnership again with the RCA, we see this varied day as a brilliant opportunity for attendees to connect and to focus on the importance of community engagement and education activity, at a time when the sport is focusing so much energy on its internal workings. We risk losing sight of our responsibilities and the untapped potential to improve community life. The topics and speakers are certain to inspire a new focus.”
