Reliant on Racing highlights connections with the sport

Since New Year’s Day, ITV Racing has been highlighting those connected to the sport of horseracing, through a variety of unexpected careers and avenues.

First, FR33DOM Zampaladus of the brilliant Urban Equestrian Academy in Leicester talked of his connection with and fondness for the sport, and how he is sharing it through his inner-city riding school.

Next, Mark Walker and his family spoke of their growing love of racing thanks to the generosity of Britain’s racecourses via the charity Tickets for Troops.

Sean Simara from the sport’s careers marketing arm Careers in Racing explains his route into the sport and how others can get involved, too.

Natalie O’Rourke runs Park Lane Stables, a London riding school under threat due to proposed development of their stables. Natalie’s team teaches young people to ride and gives them the opportunity to ride in pony races.
