Showcase champions still leading the pack with community engagement

The team at Aintree is celebrating a record third win of the Community Award as voted by judges of the RCA Showcase awards. “It’s part of our DNA,” said Grant Rowley of Aintree Racecourse who explained the importance of teamwork to the success of the Impact and Innovation Project judged best of its class by this year’s judging panel.

The racecourse also claimed the prestigious title of Showcase Champions to the applause of a full RCA Award ceremony on Thursday night at Newbury Racecourse.

Communications Manager, Grant Rowley said: “Community work makes a real difference to our strategy and every year we try to add something different. This year the military veterans programme has been added to our work.”

“It wouldn’t happen without partnerships. Everton in the community, our local schools dementia groups – there are so many out there. Collaboration has been integral to the success we’ve achieved.”

Aintree overcame eight rivals to claim the popular community award for a third successive year.
