Derby walk start 2018 01 March 2019

The Derbywalk 2019 – Celebrating their 10th Anniversary

At 9am on Sunday 19th May, the annual Derby charity walk gets under orders from Knightsbridge, and winds through historic London to the iconic Epsom Downs Racecourse, home of the Investec Derby.

All are welcome to walk in the footsteps of millions of racing fans, who through the years have made their way to the world-famous event in early June. Tickets to join the walk can include a donation to this year’s charity, Riding for the Disabled, and many use the walk to raise additional funds for charities of their choosing.

Whether you prefer a Sunday morning stroll, a fundraising walk, or trying to beat the walk record of under four hours, you can join in the fun on Sunday 19th May.

The walk begins a stone’s throw from the original Tattersalls building at Hyde Park corner. The group will go via Constitution Hill, Buckingham Palace, Birdcage walk, and Westminster, through suburbs Kennington, Clapham, Tooting, Wimbledon and Epsom. The walk finishes with a climb along history-laden Chalk Lane, site of The Amato pub and The Durdans.

The reward for your efforts is a glass of fizz and a two course meal at the racecourse, not forgetting a photo opportunity using the Epsom Downs as a backdrop.

From its inception in 2009 a number of racing names have joined and supported the walk in some way. Tickets to join in are limited and sell quickly. For more information visit:
