Trainer Charlie Fellowes on Khadijah Mellah’s historic Magnolia Cup win and fast-approaching Henry Cecil Open Weekend

Charlie Fellowes, Chairman of The Henry Cecil Open Weekend, hopes Khadijah Mellah’s success in the Magnolia Cup can help dispel a perceived lack of diversity in horse racing.

The teenager gained worldwide media attention as the first jockey to ride a race in Britain wearing a hijab, when partnering the Charlie Fellowes-trained Haverland to success in the Magnolia Cup at Goodwood.
