Volunteer today for racing charities!

Charities working across the sport are frequently in need of valuable support from volunteers – on an ongoing basis or just to support a particular event.

Volunteering is a great way to help the causes you support, and can even boost your CV and help you make new friendships.

Racegoers Club raises £1,575 for Racing Welfare in 2020

The Racegoers Club is delighted to announce that £1,575 was raised for Racing Welfare in 2020 – the Club’s official charity partner.

All charitable donations and fundraising efforts by Club members are donated in recognition of the outstanding work of the charity, which has been busier than ever during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The funds were raised by members of the supporters club who gave up returns from the Club’s two Ownership Groups and made voluntary donations included via their membership renewals. Members also contributed directly to Racing Welfare by joining their virtual events, including their Jumps Season Preview Night in November.

The Racegoers Club will continue to work with Racing Welfare to raise funds and awareness to support their services to those working in the sport.

Dawn Goodfellow, Chief Executive of Racing Welfare, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to all the Racegoers Club members who donated an incredible £1,575 to Racing Welfare in 2020. Every penny we received made it possible for us to deliver our vital services when they were needed the most and the whole team at Racing Welfare have been truly humbled by your support.”

Caroline Davies, Chair of Racegoers Club, added: “I am incredibly proud to have Racing Welfare as the Club’s official charity partner. Racegoers Club members have always been generous in their support of Racing Welfare, and I was delighted to see this support continue, even during a particularly challenging year. The work that Racing Welfare do is essential to the entire industry, and Racegoers Club look forward to championing it in the future.”
