Purpose:

Alder Hey Children's Hospital is the official charity partner of the Grand National. There's a huge affection to Alder Hey in Liverpool, who do such an amazing job for young people. Aintree has arranged a jockey visit on Ladies Day morning with Neptune Collonges/ Amberleigh House for around 15 years. We also give them a race title on Ladies Day and for the past two years have dedicated the 41st runner of the Grand National to someone from Alder Hey which gives the child a great day at Aintree meeting the stars and much needed awareness for the charity. Aintree work with Alder Hey throughout the year providing other support and opportunities, such as meet and greets with music artists.
