purpose

Purpose:

To increase the number of staff in the industry by giving interested parties a first hand look at as many aspects as possible of the industry in one day from aspiring young students at the racing schools to seasoned jockeys and all the staff along the way who make racing what it is today. To show the local community what opportunities are available to people in the racing industry. Explore Racing Days give people interested in joining the industry a real insight into what goes into being part of the industry. With tours, talks and practical activities taking place not only at the Racing Schools with students, tutors and staff talking to attendees but also going behind the scenes of a raceday gaining an insight into what goes into a raceday from horses arriving, jockey weighing rooms and pre parade rings.
