purpose

Purpose:

There have now been three #GRG days out in Newmarket. These days involve taking a group of no more than 15 people with invisible illnesses or challenges in life on a day out in Newmarket. The day consists of an early morning start on Warren Hill, plus three yard visits followed by lunch. The focus of this, and all events, is to get people out that would not normally feel comfortable doing so. They may be lonely or lack confidence due to their condition. The work of #GoRacingGreen is vital as people know that on the organised events they will not be judged and they will be safe and secure with like-minded people. If they are not yet ready to go to the racecourse to watch racing - still so much to be done to make this possible for so many - these events are key to combatting social isolation, buildings friendships and giving people access to the racing industry, as well as hands on contact with horses. This work is supported by Unibet.
