Purpose:

The event helps to raise money for charity, while promoting the sport by engaging and interacting with the public. During the Open Weekend the public is invited to visit Newmarket town for the rare chance to visit the UK’s leading training operations and yards. It is an opportunity for fans to meet their equine heroes, the trainers, and the staff. We also provide tours to many of Newmarket’s leading equine sites, including Newmarket’s two veterinary hospitals, the British Racing School, the Jockey Club Rooms, National Stud, and National Horseracing Museum.
