BTRC Work Experience – residential or day visits
Participants:
50 - 100
Purpose:
Through this programme we aim to educate and promote best practices in the management and care of retired racehorses, especially those animals that are found in a vulnerable state. The programme has allowed hundreds of students who are studying a variety or courses from veterinary to equine an opportunity to gain hands on experience and learn about retired Thoroughbreds. The course has also benefitted those that are considering entering into a career in racing industry but wish to have more experience handling Thoroughbreds. The BTRC has worked with Universities and Colleges offering placements, from one day to 6 months and have also accepted international students from USA, Canada, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Austria, Spain Germany and Italy.
