Purpose:

In line with the BHA's commitment to recognise their responsibility, Scottish Racing and its stakeholders also recognise there responsibility to the workforce and the communities that it operates in and is committed to raising awareness around mental health, both internally and amongst stakeholders. Scottish Racing and its stakeholders aim to support its participants and enhance their health and well-being through a variety of welfare awareness activities and specialist training. We work closely with partners, including the BHA, SRA, MIND, SPARK, Racing Welfare, the RCA, to communicate the good work already going on in this area and support the development of new initiatives and take action across the 5 key areas of Mental Health in the Sport Charter. As part of this action, Scottish Racing and its stakeholders will work with SPARK to deliver training in this area. Further details can be found on the SAMH Mental Health Charter.
